WHAT OUR THERAPISTS SAY ABOUT WORKING AT J.Z. MANN PEDIATRIC THERAPY:
"I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2013 with a Master's in Communication Disorders (Speech and Language Pathology) and Minors in Education and Psychology. My husband and I moved to the area after he was stationed at Camp Lejeune by the Marine Corps. I first worked in a skilled nursing facility, which was rewarding in its own way, but I could tell there was something missing in my life each time I came home. J.Z. Mann was a whole different world and the staff was so welcoming, especially the owners, Horace and Janelle. Working with children is such a rewarding and humbling experience, and life is never dull! J.Z. Mann is a workplace that is built upon family and friendship and is positive and upbeat. It's wonderful to be part of such a knowledgeable, capable, and warm team."
Mary Kate Galbraith, MA, CCC-SLP (Univ. of Mass. Amherst, 2013)
"I graduated from Northeastern State University in 2006 with a Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. I spent 8 years providing services in the school systems before transitioning to J.Z. Mann full-time in October 2015. Working at J.Z. Mann has been a very rewarding experience. I have the opportunity to work with a diverse population with very diverse needs. Since no two clients are the same, I am challenged creatively as well as staying well-informed of the new methodologies, techniques and tools used to meet the needs of all of my clients. At J.Z. Mann, I have access to a coordinated team of therapists (SLPs, OTs, PTs) and the learning opportunities are endless. However, the best part of my job is educating and empowering the parents. Helping them help their child communicate is very gratifying and the reason why I do what I do."
